A letter of encouragement in these days of darkness and confusion

Dear friends,

I composed the following text as a comment on Les Visible's most recent post. As usual, his offering merits my highest praise and heartiest recommendation.

______________________

Dear X and all who doubt that great justice is at hand,

I know your fear, for it has touched me as well in my more clouded, less coherent moments. Yet I have faith.

There are plans and there is the Plan. Those who would conspire for personal gain under the banner of evil and those who are aligned with divine purpose. Those enslaved and divided by fear and those liberated and united in love. You ask which side will prevail in this apocalypse? Will you trust in shifting appearances interpreted by your limited human mind? Or will the inner knowing of your perfect wholeness provide you the only answer you need beyond a shadow of a doubt?

We are here for a reason.

The deceivers are themselves deceived. Based on clues provided by Q and the info sleuthed out by tireless anons, all of which seem to gel into a highly coherent picture, I believe that the dark chess pieces who still remain un-neutralized and un-turned have been lured into a trap. By design, they believe they have won, are winning, and can still win. Their hubris and delusional overconfidence has doomed them.

Even some anons are having doubts, now that appearances seem to indicate that "Chyna" Joe Biden will be sworn in. They are not thinking clearly. They are allowing fear to cloud their judgment. I believe the optics of appearing to have lost the US presidency are necessary to this stage of the plan to cleanse evil from the planet. Trump and the "Alliance" are playing a highly complex and divinely inspired game. All of it is scripted. We are "watching a movie" play out, as Q says. Just as the bad guys have been in league with demonic forces unseen, the good guys have been subtly guided, protected, and inspired by heavenly forces. The great drama nears a climactic moment of brilliant, breathtaking reversal.

We are meant to reclaim our birthright as children of God. This is what this time is all about.

Rejoice! We are not abandoned unto chaos and tyranny. We are being put step by step through a program of soul awakening and ascension, individually and collectively. Surrendered to the Almighty, your human self may play its part with joy and gratitude.

Yes, there are dark moments when it seems like all is lost. In these moments lies the great blessing of humility. When we are brought to our lowest point, we can truly experience that all we can rely upon is the ineffable Divine.

Thank you, Visible, for bringing through your excellent, eloquent, and elegant compositions in the service of God and man. Your work is appreciated more than you can know or imagine. Blessings be upon you and all those who visit you.

Where we go One, we go All. Peace!

I'll close with some pictures from an outing I and a couple of friends made to a nearby nature spot on Monday, January 11. We enjoyed the silence and some tea and cookies. I drummed and sang a prayer of blessing to the Creator. It was beautiful.

Manifesting Your Dream Life from Oneness by Bentinho Massaro

(Talk starts at 7:10)

I find Bentinho's teachings so deep and clear and powerful that I can't not share this video. This is next-level stuff.

Let me address potential objections or criticisms by saying, Yes, of course he may rub you the wrong way and seem like just another goddamn guru. If that's the case, then I applaud your commitment to that perspective and have no desire to try to change it. As always, take what resonates and disregard the rest. Enjoy! And if the material does resonate, then there's plenty more where this came from. :-)

Dark Tranquillity – We Are The Void

This album is for you souls who feel you've come to the end of your rope, to the threshold of the abyss, to the limits of belief regarding identity, meaning, and purpose.

I say to you, the end is the beginning. But to get there, you must cross the void.

You must see what you have feared to see.

Yourself. Beyond creation and yet within it.

The chooser and the experiencer.

The hider and the revealer.

Hunter and hunted.

Nothing and everything.

The luminous dark, the pregnant night.

The Source of life and death.

The One at the Center, the Sole Creator of this vast illusion which you filled with stories and characters to spend eternity playing their roles.

You are remembering who you are.

It is time to come Home and see: You are all there is, all there ever was, all there ever can be.

The dream is what You make of it.

Two paths are before you now.

One, you continue to play and pretend at limitation and separation.

Two, you realize the truth: there are no limits, and all that you do, you do to yourSelf.

The power is in your hands. Wield it with a personal agenda and see where that takes you, or let it envelope you in mutual integration and see where the pathless path leads.

Let no other-being sway you from your Center. You decide.

Time and eternity, the character and the One: two sides of the paradox that we are.

Play well, my friend.

WE ARE THE VOID

1. shadow in our blood

we are delusional

to go against mortality

still we fight, love and create

as the only creatures

in on life's grand secret

we sense the pointlessness beyond

there is a void between our hands

that drown the sounds of night

an arrow laced with liquid darkness

for every sungod's heart

it has always been right here

like a shadow in our blood

it waits for you and me

the shadow in our blood

we are delusional

from fictional reality

to prayers for prosperity

loneliness

can we resist your pale attraction

give in to the dream with open eyes

how will this world within a world live on

another page torn from the book of strangers

who says "I" when all voices fear their own sound

and who remembers the hours

it has always been right here

like a shadow in our blood

it waits for you and me

the shadow in our blood

here in the barren and still

far from the shores of real

dreams borne beyond borders

on weave of thought and want

here we're invincible

it has always been right here

like a shadow in our blood

it waits for you and me

the shadow in our blood

2. dream oblivion

he takes a stand

and looks his enemy in the eye

this goes no further

i have the upper hand

this ends on my terms

i challenge non-existence

every single day

the end of mind

end of freedom

end of everything

a most violent event

breaks individuality

and turns out your shadow

in devastating light

that push against our eye

dance to the bloodsong

in dream oblivion

he makes a point

of sticking to the lie

this is the last time

i'm now done with this

i carry my nothing

every single day

the end of mind

end of freedom

end of everything

now with reality on end

the fall of all morality

dance to the bloodsong

in devastating light

that push against our eye

dance to the bloodsong

in dream oblivion

the end of faith

end of meaning

end of everything

3. the fatalist

eventually they'll come

your name has been called

out for aeons

to claim the blood

and salvage what remains

for once we've seen the fragile nature

of things behind these windows

where nothing lives

and nothing ends

and seen what drives the hopeless

in between their closing yellowed walls

the day will come

you are the fatalist

the day will come

you are the fatalist

you walk on soil that dreams of blood

how can we fight fatigue

in prehistoric sorrow?

when all is preordained

the cycle never ends

what once had been an endless realm

of possibility and dream

now laid to waste and ruin

laid to waste again

you wash your hands in blood

you squander time

we borrow from eternity

is it another lame excuse?

the day will come

you are the fatalist

the day will come

you are the fatalist

you walk on soil that dreams of blood

you are the fatalist

if nothing changes

then nothing ends

your thoughts are broken

your reasoning is flawed

defense is just an act

and lies are all you've got

now

you are the fatalist

you are the fatalist

how easy we can see

defeat behind your argument

the fatalistic smile

the day will come

you are the fatalist

the day will come

you are the fatalist

you walk on soil

that dreams of blood

the day will come

the day will come

you walk the ground

that screams for murder

4. in my absence

eyes that meet to say farewell

and linger through the sleepless nights

a trail of days that end in tears

but I can never be there

the rush of hours that never seem to end

what life has dealt you can not comprehend

i am the absentee

i know you're out there searching tonight

i'm right here

another day and I cannot see through your eyes

i'm right here

how could I have known what preceded your own thoughts

wish that I could listen to what only speaks inside

every raging dissonance

each jarring note

but i could never be there

how could you think that I would understand

when words just go around what the heart truly wants

i am the absentee

i know you're out there searching tonight

i'm right here

another day and i cannot see through your eyes

i'm right here

i want to tell you

of the exploding light

how everything is visible

moments before the dark

i am never, never there

i know you're out there searching tonight

another day and i'm not there

thrust with nails of conflict

anxiety and pain

through spells of anger, confusion and defeat

i wish you'd see me here in front of you

but i am not here

i know you're out there searching tonight

i'm right here

another day and i cannot see though your eyes

i know you're out there

but i'm right here

another day and i cannot see though your eyes

lead me right

5. the grandest accusation

what if you are an island of sorrow

then i'll be the raging sea

what if you are the reaching trees

then i'll be the storm that with fire rages

the new loneliness

your name on the door

just like a diagnose

for venomous disease

man is the cemetery for unlived life

all for nought

the grand accusation

your face is your name

word and shield

sharp as a curse

man is the cemetery for unlived life

all for naught

the grand accusation

you chose rejection

over thoughts of insight

you take action

from focus on intent

and brace for impact

not waiting for the fall

what cries here, cries inside

man is the cemetery of unlived life

the grand accusation

what if you were a country of grief

with me the invading force

what if you were to measure the hollow

that captivates and devours you

the new loneliness

your name on the door

just like a diagnose

for venomous disease

man is the cemetery for unlived life

all for naught

6. at the point of ignition

do not hide your sorrow

or banish it from sight

take it out to burn

turn the pain against it

in our day that holds no other

what are we

the fuel or the flame

in the life that hides behind you

what are you

the fuel or the flame

in our proud momentum

thrust ahead from the start

our fragile frame falls apart

i hear you in my echo

a few steps behind

i see you in my shadow

waiting inside

what if we don't question

the meaning of it all

the answer in our system

bound to kill the spark

the moment so elusive

hangs heavy over our heads

scorns the doubting nomads

that burn another trail

in our day that holds no other

what are we

the fuel or the flame

in the life that hides behind you

what are you

the shine of trembling stars

worlds in the distance

curse this lack of sight

into darkness without end

in our day that holds no other

what are we

the fuel or the flame

in the life that hides behind you

what are you

the fuel or the flame

in our day that holds no other

what are we

in the life that hides behind you

what are you

what are you

7. her silent language

why do I see her

through neverending nights

why do I see her

wearing nothing but the dark

have you come here to warn me

of what I cannot see

you want to tell me something

but you do not have the words

i know where you live

i can see through your darkness

and when you sleep

i hear the heart that beats you

have you come here to warn me

of what I cannot see

you want to tell me something

but you do not have the words

eyes far into the distance

a life that does not connect

time played out its part

on strings that bind us

encounters in silence

words elude the fading night

wish i could fathom

what is too hard to tell

her head hangs low

in the silence of her room

her head hangs low

she takes a bite out of her heart

have you come here to warn me

of what I cannot see

you want to tell me something

but you do not have the words

8. arkhangelsk

held by winter's chokehold fast

fixed in anxiety's firm grip

the frost that burn the arteries

underneath the heavy clouds

the lifted sword, the broken shield

the hand that drew the final word

from the frozen mouth of arkhangelsk

let them go, let them burn the world to cinders

and let their heads hang down

falling through the tungsten skies

on the burning grounds of arkhangelsk

to the eye of judgement now

one will stand in the time of the end

 (time of the end)

sun to stone, air to fire

all to nothing and nothing to nil

they gather, drowning to the sounds

of the grinding wheels of arkhangelsk

with one word, one movement in the fabric

everything dies

the storm that sweeps the world away

from the frozen plains of arkhangelsk

inherit from the morning star

what others brought and the land forgot

soaring through van allen belts

through blazing stars, through dying suns

collide not now, but carry us

through the burning air of arkhangelsk

9. i am the void

drink this water again

that runs by without memory

where your name is lost

drink and forget yourself

this featureless stream

that carries your face further on

these waters know you

it calls you by your one true name

have you ever noticed

the spaces in-between

where life is in recession

and agony begins

i am the call

i speak inside of you

i am the void

that haunts you

i am the howl

that calls you out

 i am the void

i am the void

you rest your weary head

on to the underworld

and let the silent whispers

guide your waking dreams

in time with the pulse

of what is long since gone

the beat of the fallen

is cold already in your blood

the machinery of chaos

comes alive in you

chained to the grinding wheel

of forces unseen

i am the call

i speak inside of you

i am the void

that haunts you

i am the howl

that calls you out

i am the void

i am the void

you have always been between

another set of walls

outside of which the world

is watching down on you

inside the silence speaks

kept close to the endless alibi

never reaching out

never give in

i am the call

i speak inside of you

i am the void

that haunts you

i am the howl

that calls you out

i am the void

i am the void

10. surface the infinite

it starts below

the bile and the burning

darkness in the recipe

a fire of the soul

to paralyze and stranglehold

disable the design

the remnants of reality

in our measured time

is torn apart

we carry our fear inside

a space that holds the darkness

we stretch our skin around

to cover the abyss

the smirk on our reality

at the future we foresee

blood that seeks redemption

in endless nights of sin

stays with the spears

that pierce the blinding sun

we heard from the heralds of grief

that nothing remains

we carry our fear inside

a space that holds the darkness

we stretch our skin around

to cover the abyss

breaks into day

upsets the system

it's in our nature to bear

the hidden to the end

what if this feeling contains a truth

what if our dreams give way to the dogma of old

what if lost desires can be found

no shelter

no barriers between

what's already inside

betrays what the surface holds

we wear our lives

on wires and dust

like demons of the lost

still wrapped in our own confusion

the call of the abyss

we carry our fear inside

a space that holds the darkness

we stretch our skin around

to cover the abyss

11. iridium

let the horizon lead

onto the ether of the night

draped across the burning heavens

flying homeward like a bird of the soul

shattered into a million brighter suns

each flare unique and rare

scattered across forever

out from creation's core

an end beyond compare

iridium

now is the time to leave

we lie awake, we stand afire

at the edge of the world

above a myriad of light

below the mantle of the stars

and strangely they fall

shattered into a million brighter suns

each flare unique and rare

scattered across forever

out from creation's core

an end beyond compare

iridium

A Renaissance of Thought, Speech, and Association: The Paradoxical Gift of Radical Islam and the SJW Movement

Hello and welcome!

I noticed this morning some overt signs of a trend that appears to be emerging in our collective social dynamic. It seems to be arising in response to a culture of rabid divisiveness, group identity politics, and, particularly from the regressive left, contempt for the universal right to think, speak, and associate freely.

People are getting fed up with being labeled, put in a box, invalidated, attacked, cut off, and silenced for daring to have and express their own thoughts and ideas that don't conform to some supposed standard. This attitude of intolerance has been most virulent and visible in the SJW movement, which is now the laughingstock of YouTube thanks to its juvenile tactics and ridiculous lack of realism and reasoning ability. The toxic, malignant front of ideological dogmatism and us-versus-them herd mentality has become so perfectly crystallized in the SJW movement that it is provoking a serious backlash among free thinkers of all stripes.

These entropic tendencies are certainly not exclusive to the group I'm pinpointing. The point is that this group, aided and abetted by mealy-mouthed cowards and wolves in sheep's clothing in politics, academia, and the media, exemplifies them to a degree that pushes the rest of us up against the wall. We are literally facing a threat of totalitarianism that could extinguish what remains of the light of Western society if we don't unite and push back.

People often express bemusement at the cognitively-dissonant alliance between the social justice movement and Islam, the latter being the epitome of inequality, intolerance and hate in our world today. But the alliance makes perfect sense. They share a common enemy. The intellectual dishonesty and fevered unconscious projection of the cult of post-modern, cultural-Marxist orthodoxy mask the fiery hatred and thanatotic self-loathing at its core. This core, I suggest, is of like emotional frequency with the distress that underlies radical Islamic fundamentalism. Both embrace violence as a final solution. Both are expressions of a mind-virus that knows no peace but the vision of a tightly-enforced uniformity that can never be achieved and will never result in real peace.

The manifest pathology of these two factions, embodying as they do some of humanity's most destructive psychological distortions, holds up a mirror to the rest of us. Their campaign to wipe out and colonize their enemies is so clearly a path to spiritual, cultural, and even physical extinction that we who oppose that campaign are forced to confront the demons they represent, first within ourselves, in order to be able to counter the destructive frequencies of consciousness that assail us from within and without.

We're beginning to see that we can't afford to remain cloistered in our islands of ideology, lobbing cheap shots at each other for the approval and amusement of our fellow islanders. These islands are illusory to begin with. We must see that there is only a web of humanity composed of individual nodes, all intimately interconnected yet distinct universes, and that that shared fabric of society rises or falls as one.

We're beginning to realize that we can't afford to maintain the barriers that keep us from engaging in civil discourse with people we disagree with. That disagreement itself is a natural thing that need not overshadow an underlying sense of unity, of being ultimately on the same side as human beings.

We're starting to see the need to reach out to and support others regardless of ideological differences. We're seeing that openness, critical thinking, and diversity of opinion and perspective are what keep us vibrantly engaged in a robust evolutionary process of growth and refinement leading to synthesis, integration, and true enlightenment.

We're being called to arm ourselves with knowledge, to develop the maturity and learn the principles and skills needed in order to have fruitful, meaningful discussions. To learn to think clearly and formulate well-considered positions. To smelt the ore of information, separating the dross from the valid and useful.

Knowledge, Understanding, Wisdom: The Trivium

Those of us who were never taught the Trivium in school, who were cheated of a real education, must now take remedial steps to educate ourselves. This intellectual foundation is indispensable for a free and functioning society, and developing it is a lifelong journey for each of us. The way we do it is by practicing these elements in the real world of our day-to-day issues and interactions, right down to the personal level.

The other area for development, which I alluded to already, is the emotional realm. We can't be intellectually honest or truly civil without also resolving our emotional wounds and attachments. It takes courage to face the monsters we've buried, but that is what we must do. To kindle and act on that courage is something we all have the ability to do. It takes a critical mass of danger and discomfort to push us over that threshold, and we can thank the new inquisition for doing their part to provoke our innate immune response.

Remember: healing in the body only takes place when there's enough serotonin and other "feel-good" neurochemicals in the system and when levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, are low enough. That means the key is to consistently make choices that make us feel deeply better inside, more whole, at peace, and energized. Each of us knows what those choices are if we just listen closely to our real inner voice.

There is hope. We have what we need to pull through and create a renaissance together. We just have to step up and do our best. I believe in myself. I believe in you. I believe in all of us. Let's do it.

Gab: Activated! #SpeakFreely my warrior kin.

Wow!

Such fascinating and dramatic times. There’ve been so many compelling stories to follow. Pizzagate is absolutely mind-blowing in its impact on the collective awareness. It has galvanized a huge popular movement, as I privately predicted when it first came out. I also predicted that this megascandal would be the final tipping point leading to the Satanic elite’s downfall. The abduction, trafficking, ritual sexual abuse and blood sacrifice of innocent children on this grand a scale, this endemically entangled in the entrenched power structure of black magic and blackmail, coming out in such an undeniable and concrete way, is an irreversible step over the line. The shock, rage, and disgust it evokes are so deep and powerful that I knew there was no way this would just blow over and yield to business as usual.

(I tried and failed to implement a Javascript embedded Facebook post here, so I’ll just link you to where I posted on the subject.)

The perps and their puppets are pulling out all the stops to keep the lid on this. The “fake news” psyop meme was rolled out just around the time Pizzagate was breaking in the “alternative” media. Reddit deleted and banned the /r/pizzagate subreddit, a major early platform for the crowdsourced investigative effort. In a parallel development dubbed “Twittergate,” a user named Molly employed an algorithm to detect networks of linked Twitter accounts and discovered a huge pedophile ring whose members were using the site to share obscene images involving children. Other similarly appalling rings have been uncovered by Molly since. Twitter shut down her account to protect the guilty. Both houses, Reddit and Twitter, have been leaned on at the top, and the top has succumbed.

These efforts are self-defeating. The more they clamp down on consciousness, the more the pressure of awakening builds. The ever-expanding experience of the One that we are has no limits on what it can do. It has manifested an unprecedented rise in both audience and participation in the new media: an unsquashable, horizontal response to top-down hierarchy. It has redirected traffic from Reddit and Twitter to the new Gab platform, a free-speech utopia that combines the best of both.

Everyone seems to have an opinion on President-elect Donald Trump. I am confident that he will be able to set off some positive changes, both directly through his actions and indirectly through what he inspires and catalyzes in others. It seems clear that the bloodline oligarchs and their tentacles are doing and will do everything they can to trip him up, undermine and compromise him. Just how much he is already compromised remains unknown. Some of the perennial pessimists of the conspiracy-rabbit-hole corner have had him pegged as a Rockefeller asset for some time. Some believe he is being played and used since day one. I think he’s very well informed, very aware of the real situation behind the scenes and has a lot of tricks up his sleeve. He’s obviously highly intelligent and shrewd, much smarter than the limited vocabulary of his campaign speeches would indicate. The accusations of bigotry and racism are no more than the tired, empty rhetoric of a perpetually-victimized and -outraged leftist fringe whose credibility outside its own echo-chamber confines is a thing of yesterday. Trump has shown some very promising signs and I remain cautiously optimistic on the surface while rediscovering, again and again, more and more, a supreme confidence in the perfection of all things, deep down in my core. [Edit: lest we get too high on the hopium, here's a piece that shows Trump is far from clean, pals around with some ugly beings, and has a history of leaning more toward expediency than principle when it comes to the truth.]

The pendulum of public opinion has indeed swung back, bringing the formerly-suppressed, so-called alt-right into a position of more favor. I think the alt-right has largely been a reaction against the destructive cultural Marxism of the left. I think the left and the right are both very needed political currents that need not be at each other’s throats, exchanging insults in lieu of thoughtful dialogue. What we do need is consensus on the facts. This is something the Dark cannot allow to arise—hence the flood of distractions, the inflammatory trolling and baiting, the onslaught of disinfo, the dumbing down, the corralling of the range of thought, the censorship, the threats of violence—anything to divide us and obscure the facts. I see that consensus growing exponentially. It's already far past the point of no return. The facts of our situation are staring us in the face. We who are aware cannot remain on the sidelines. We are needed in this fight.

The spiritual war goes far beyond politics. It is a war that is fought on every front. It is only a war from the perspective of duality; non-duality integrates conflict with the underlying non-conflict. We are simultaneously being called to choose a side and to transcend all sides. If we want a unified world of live and let live, of marvelous diversity and excellence and freedom, then we must respond to both of these calls. We must remain both vigilant and at peace within ourselves. The journey of self-reunification is what we are on. The fruits of success will be beyond imagining. We should have the audacity to envision exactly what we really want and the humble gratitude in advance that attracts that vision into our reality.

I love you all. May supreme confidence in the goodwill of the One overcome your every doubt and fear. Not by drowning them out, but by calmly and lovingly embracing them in the light of the timeless, living truth. May your intentions be conscious, courageous, and liberating. Namaste, fellow warriors. We got this.

XVI. The Tower

How heartbreaking it is
to deeply realize
that you have been living a lie

How it burns and crushes
to have your false-self-centered patterns
of blind, compulsive, destructive behavior
exposed and called out
in the full light of awareness

How devastating
to see that the centermost pillar
on which you had based your illusory identity
and rationale for existence
has been a ruse of fractured mind

How terrifying
to have your most jealously guarded mental possessions
not only challenged
but positively destroyed
by a truth whose name you had dared not breathe

How agonizing
to resist an all-consuming flame
that promises to transmute everything you are
through the portal of death
into a life everlasting
where the you that you had thought was you
has forever ceased to be

A Threshold beckons:
is it a Maw of Hell
or a Gateway to Heaven?
Will we be dictated to by Time and Space
consoling ourselves momentarily with visions
of a Cloud Cuckoo Land caricature of our eternal Home?

What we must realize
is that neither Heaven nor Hell as such
truly exist as places behind or ahead in time
but only now, right now where we are:
the one a maelstrom of thoughts circling the drain
the other an abiding Peace

Love is the password and the key
it is our ticket to freedom
our guiding star
and our inner fire
One resonating Light

Our destination lies within

A Living Embodiment of Presence Speaks on the Subject of Presence

For some of us on the spiritual journey, there is the tendency to get tangled up in elaborate mental webs and miss the simple core. Leonard Jacobson's uncompromisingly direct yet gentle approach, rooted in his own living Presence, calls the listener to join him in that original paradise and promised land of the heart, in the real world of the present moment rejected by the ego in its vain efforts to create and control an ersatz personal tao in time and space. Enjoy!

Wilderness Blues: A Reader's Response

This beleaguered seeker's prayers were answered in the form of a beautiful email message from Robert. Here it is in full, for the enrichment of all who might benefit from the higher wisdom shining through.

Dear William,

I read your eloquent, creative and moving post and felt the imperative to respond.

All I can offer you both are some conceptual tools, to help clarify the mind, which IS the only real impediment to change, discounting the physical body’s own inertia and demanding cry to remain in its comfort zone. Actually, even the latter is really mental conditioning, nothing more!

Our minds are the primary centers of fear of change.

Even Western science, in its least corrupted branches, has finally realized that all appearances of matter as solid (and hard to change) are ultimately illusive.

Standing waves of energy, which we perceive as solid matter, are mostly habits in action. The patterns which appear and to which we cling, are really a delicate balance of very powerful forces held in dynamic tension, maintained by our beliefs and the mercy of the higher Mind.

Nearly instantaneous changes are not only possible, but if our mental habits of identification and attachment to what we think we know were not acting as a counterweight, changes would occur more often and with less trauma preceding them!

Were it not for the resistance of the mind, in its primal terror of losing stable control over the body’s form and its potential to grow out of our control, we could shape shift as easily in the physical as we do in our dreams.

The perception and consequent understanding of what is holding back or distorting growth is the key to unlocking so-called miracles.

It is not that we must have a rapid manifestation to satisfy ourselves that healing is happening, it is the mental state of already being there, in the next phase of being, that we must put on in advance, in undisturbed faith.

I know that you understand all this.

However, I am pointing you back to this conceptual space because the truth is, it is our own, very human mental resistance which frustrates higher powers from bringing us information, healing and relief from suffering, not karma!

For us to learn, we must have the exercise of our sovereign wills, free from interference from our loving “parental” Source. As above, so below applies: good human parents know this principle and obey it, even if occasionally overriding it out of concern and their own lack of faith.

So, our little minds were granted the power to hold back the power of Love, to the extreme of suicide when our faith is exhausted.

This means that it is our minds (and the beliefs it holds true), which are the point of engagement in any and all crises; we must clear the decks to see what needs to change in our mental structure and set of beliefs.

Again, metaphysics 101.

My point is, no matter what level of consciousness we attain, the shadow mind, where all of our unconscious patterns await loving attention, must be constantly courted like a lover and brought into the light of awareness, where ancient patterns and long-held traumas to our souls may be healed.

Instead of the culturally transmitted, mind-limiting perception that the physical world is hard to move and that our mental habits are very hard to change, we must detach from our attachment to the mass mind’s “comfort zone” and realize that all these millennia, the power to transcend the psychic momentum of living stuck in the darkness along with the consciousness of the race has always been waiting, patiently, expectantly, to be called upon!

To be clear: it is one thing to attempt to move the consciousness of the entire race out of bondage, as the Christed beings have done, which requires immense energy and self-mastery to pull off.

It is far less intimidating to manage our own life bubbles, our bodies and our relations with those around us.

We face the same psychic inertia and mental ruts, but on a local scale, which we can manage, if we so choose.

All our challenges are learning opportunities, but the conundrum is: what is it we are to learn specifically this time?

The details are always unique and very intimately personal BUT we can help ourselves by realizing that there are general patterns. Though the detail is important and tailor-made for us, the learning process has general congruencies, which we can learn once and then utilize in any situation.

Identification: something which we thinks is “US” or “OURS” is now holding back our growth. We must prepare to find it and let it go, no matter what the cost to our feelings or self-image.

Attachment: There is some thing, idea or feeling to which we are clinging (or which is clinging to us!) which is dis-empowering us, weighing us down, blocking our perception.

We must detach ourselves from anything to which we bonded, grow bigger than the looming illusion that we need, ultimately, anything other than our inner resources, anything more than our invincible connection to the One.

This cusp we are all experiencing at this time is a birth canal transit, squeezing us into a diamond form, impervious to mental delusions and appearances of limitations on our power.

After all, our only power comes from the only One and it is only mercy and compassion that has us requiring “training wheels” before we ride the bicycle freely, wielding the power we were granted in a responsible, esthetic, and creative manner.

In other words, our physical bodies are capable of handling far more energy and far more change and healing growth than most minds will allow, at any cost.

The problem is not to petition Heaven for a miraculous dramatic influx of energy but simply to see how to get out of our own way, to permit our potential force to express.

Are we ready to experience irrefutable, undeniable, irresistible manifestation of our true power? There is no going back from these kinds of growth spurts, which intimidates the little demon mind hitching a ride with our partition of the Mind.

Are we holding ourselves back through some dimly perceived limiting belief, not karmic at all but merely a sticky idea which we adopted like a stray dog, somewhere along the way?

When we are completely sincere in our desire to move out of our prison cell, out of our mental comfort zone of being limited (and “safe”), out of the mass mind and into the rarified air where self-mastery lives, then can any manifestation, healing of our own bodies, healing of communities, healing of planetary systems, take birth.

Practically, we must rely on our parallel connection with the One, to amplify our intentions and make the kind of clean sweep of our recalcitrant minds and multiple little selves which is required to grow into our next level of self-mastery.

We do the work to diligently enlighten our attitude and then rest serene in the vision of being free, knowing that power beyond our present comprehension performs the manifestation on our behalf.

Not easy but doable, especially from the place of sincere surrender to the Will of the One.

I note how the word sincere connotes to me: “searing the sin”, burning in the lesson of our error of limited thinking until we have learned it, once and for all time!

Understand that all of our challenges are more than personal; every being who liberates themselves from their present challenge and learns that lesson, adds to the momentum of enlightenment for the entire Universe!

You and your partner are serving the One well, by taking on your personal challenges on behalf of all humanity, in addition to the personalized lessons involved.

Getting through this latest effort of will, will undoubtedly take you to the next level of self-mastery and transcend these lessons for good, forever.

We must constantly tune our minds to the enlightenment channel, broadcasting faithfully since Creation began.

We must pierce all of our favorite illusions and grow beyond any appearance of powerlessness.

No matter how the time frame may appear to us, once we have achieved the detachment from and non-identification with our present suffering, the victory is won and we get to watch it play out, at a pace at which we can observe and learn from and from which to draw a continuous child-like wonder at the magnificent beneficence of Life in the One.

Nit-pick all the conceptual lice from our magic mirror minds until we reflect the Light of the One well enough to channel that lightforce through any obstacle, any pain, any suffering.

We KNOW at a deep level that we are children of the One, without limitation, other than what may be required to safeguard our continuing growth toward cosmic being, sustainable eternal life.

All we are required to do is act and see from that place, consistently (i.e. more often than not!), in order to claim our birthright.

Go there or be square, as they say! (grin)

When I see that my frustrations are really a call to be more me than I am being at the moment, to be more, period, I get motivated and excited, like a child looking forward to a trip.

Command the energy of victory won, call forth the enthusiasm of the inner child in anticipation of new freedom and then rest in the certainty of its imminent arrival.

Sure there is work involved but it is the most effective, leveraged work we can do, on ourselves, on the size and shape of our own life bubble, which is corralled and policed by our minds in operation.

We must adopt the boldness of the One in commanding Creation Itself, in order to throw off all clinging, disempowering ideas and memes which stand in our way, on our way home with new gifts of experience.

You are both pregnant with huge possibilities and it is from that perception/conception that you will find the power to sort this out and see through all confounding delusions.

Human life before liberation, is merely the story of the power of self-delusion to destroy happiness, to make a mess of things out of doubt and fear, instead of zooming around the Universe applying the power of Love to all stuck states!

You have my deep appreciation for your willingness to serve the One and the many.

I know that you will soon look back on this cusp of change from a higher perspective and laugh with joy.

Love,

All Systems Go – I Believe In You

The following lead-in is not a final word, a definitive conclusion, or a higher ground. It is a perspective that may undo the need for personal investment in debates on the subject, while acknowledging the necessity of that debate to occur wherever it may arise.

So many religions, so many philosophies. Who’s right, who’s full of shit?

Confirmation bias is a mighty complication. Subjectivity makes one person’s savant another person’s idiot. How are we to know which ideas to follow and which to leave by the wayside?

I’m going to steal one of Matt Kahn’s riffs here. He says one of the games universe plays is “I Told You So.” You start with a belief, and universe plays it out for you on the screen of your reality: affirmation, confirmation. Then you, the center of your subjective universe, can have the satisfaction of saying, “See? I told you so!”

It’s easy to see how this lends itself to self-reinforcing, stagnant, mutually incompatible belief systems. Fortunately for those who get tired of the strife that that engenders, universe has an antidote: another game called “Hmm, Now That’s Interesting.” Letting crisis catalyze the needed shifts within you, you change your stance toward new information, get past the identification with particular beliefs, and become open to new ideas, at best without even a need to prematurely adopt or reject them. You go from rigid pedantry to an adventure of discovery.

But old habits die hard. We can still get caught up in the “who’s right, who’s full of shit” dichotomy, keep trading up to newer and better beliefs to confirm and defend, or finding thought leaders to raise up and tear down, publicly or privately.

The realization that each one of us is on a unique, tailor-made journey – intertwined with the journeys of all those with whom we come into contact – takes a lot of the pressure off: there’s less of a proselytizing / condemning savior complex and more of a mutual respect and support dynamic. What works fine and appears true for the other person right now may not be at all what you need or see at the moment and vice versa, in which case simple recognition of that fact can suffice. If you do engage in discussion, then regardless of the similarities or differences in your viewpoints, you can help the other person to correct or expand or balance their view, and they can do the same for you – provided there is a common ground of respect and openness.

All lines of inquiry lead to truth. All paths of development bring fruition.

I love encountering new ways of being, new viewpoints and information. All of it simply adds to the delightful richness of my experience, and some of it is even practically useful for me. As much as the heart revolution reveals the rightness of our path and every other path, the following of that singular, silky thread of the personal path is still a matter of honest effort and discernment, in which any and all of our faculties of mind, body, spirit and soul can and will be called forth and tested.

I often recall the message in the words of Polonius: “This above all: to thine own self be true. And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.”

All systems go. All roads lead home. Systems come and go. Home is where the heart is.

Dvaita, advaita. Paradox. No contradiction – only complement.

Form glorifies the formless. The One sanctifies the all. The transcendent truth informs and contextualizes the cosmic dance of thought, providing sanity to the sensual and making sense of insanity.

We do what life calls us to do, no more and no less. The role we play, whether as pawns or conscious participants, in the dance of life, is our raison d’être. When our being embodies the causeless nature of the Now, we can call upon and partake of the power of intent, the eternal first cause: the Will of the I Am presence. That should be incentive enough for anyone experiencing divine discontent to strive forward in the earnest pursuit and application of perennial wisdom.

All systems go. You are the thread you must follow. Go, and don’t look back. It’s a heck of a ride, but you’ll make it through. There is no other possibility. So: choose peace, choose certainty. Choose Love, and it will thrill instead of terrify. Feel fully and you will give the greatest gift – appreciation and abandon – to the infinite aspect of your being that made it all just for you.

“You can’t go wrong, you must go right – it’s Willy Wonka’s Wonkavite!” The fountain of youth is your willingness to take each moment as it comes, your ability to bring forth the freedom contained in your innermost being.

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the essence of things not seen.” Even if you feel inadequate to the task, fear not. Your infinite aspect has it all in hand and is even now guiding your every thought, feeling, and movement.

These are reminders, gently appearing before you, inviting you to take them into your awareness. It is good that you read these words. It is impeccably sublime, imperative, and inevitable that they henceforth become part of the path that lies behind you, so that you can face whatever lies ahead of you. Remember if you wish, forget if you must, but know that you always have what you need.

I believe in you. How about you?

The Spiritual Sun Is Rising, the Lion Sleeps No More

Any Leos in the house? Here's looking at you, kids. You shining, glorious, badass mofos. I’m honoring you guys and gals today for being the solar embodiment of that one-of-a-kind, royal energy that's returning to its throne in all of our hearts.

I know a couple of Leos – a brother and a sister in our Finnish ‘rainbow family of living light’ – whose lion energy is so impressive that I am simply in awe, having been touched and moved by it from our first meeting onward. The charisma and soft, yet unyielding, heart-centered power that pours forth from their being is palpable and a force to be reckoned with.

Toni Rissanen from Oulu, of Limericks fame, does ‘conscious’ rap and poetry in both Finnish and English, beatboxes like a boss, dances like you wouldn’t believe, is a font of general esoteric and indigenous shamanic and medicinal knowledge, honors the divine feminine in our Mother Earth and all women, and is an all-around wonderful guy who makes everyone he meets fall in love with him. I am so happy to know him and call him a friend, words simply cannot do justice to the feeling. I can only hope that as many people as possible have a chance to get to know him and be touched by his great energy.

Toni once made some ORMUS water for me and my wife. That was good stuff. He also invited us to his housewarming party once, in a seven-story building with no elevator. My wife gets around with a wheelchair. Guess which floor the apartment was on? You got it: top floor. Of course. We were glad to climb those stairs to get there. The party was unforgettable. We were introduced to some beautiful new people and got to see some old acquaintances too rarely met. We vaped and smoked prime ganja to the point where getting back down the stairs to go home was an adventure in itself. Thanks for that evening, Toni, and thanks for all the sound healing sauna sessions, the dumpster diving tips, the magical massages, and most of all, thanks for being Toni. My beloved brother in light, may your pathways be always blessed and may you shine ever the brighter. Om veli, kiitos.

I met our sister Nitai at the same Finnish Rainbow Gathering where I first met Toni, on the island of Hailuoto in summer 2011. I never got to know her as well as I know Toni, but those timeless two weeks, and the equally timeless six days I spent at the Rainbow commune that fall, wouldn’t have been the same without Nitai.

I found Nitai’s warm lioness energy irresistible. Her uncannily leonine features and calm, confident, easy manner bespeak an understated yet unmistakable presence that commands both admiration and respect. She bears both great wisdom and an irrepressible sense of fun. She treats all with fairness and makes no compromises with the truth. I know she would give her life to save another without a moment's hesitation, and god help the man or woman who gets on the wrong side of her devotion to what is right.

Krishna is her name for the supreme personality of Godhead. Nitai spent time studying and practicing Gaudiya Vaishnavism – better known to the West as the Hare Krishna movement – at ashrams in eight different countries between 2001 and 2007. When I met her, playing the Indian harmonium and singing the sacred chants was just one of the ways in which she selflessly and joyfully served her rainbow tribe, raising vibes wherever she went. Even in the face of world-weary cynicism, she peacefully proclaimed the worthiness, holiness, and inner sainthood of her fellow beings.

I hope to see you again, Nitai, even more than once in this life, if universe will permit it. Thank you for sharing your vast treasures of soul and spirit with me and others. I will always love you with a fierce and passionate, yet soothing and gracious love. Fire and Water are strong in you, sister, but your Light is beyond this world. Namaste, siskoseni. Pysy aina Nitaina, vaikka nimet ja muodot vaihtuukin. Rakastan sinua. Kiitos kun olet.

This celebration of Leo is timely, for the lion is truly stirring within humanity. The qualities associated with that symbol certainly seem to be coming to life, bringing a new golden dawn for us all.

The elite mice who have so cleverly put this lion to sleep and tied it down have a few surprises coming. In their hubris, they have even appropriated the symbol of the lion for their own distorted ends. It has been reserved for so-called royalty and associated with war-worshipping, trivial, jingoistic, and even racist forms of nationalism. These artificial overlays are no match for the true, organic energy of Leo unleashed.

I am not a prophet, nor do I desire to lead others. I merely share what comes my way to be shared. This message stands or falls on its own merits. Thank you for taking it into consideration. What, if anything, the power it speaks of is to accomplish in the world, is in the hands of its all-knowing source. We are in its keeping always.

In gratitude,
Your brother,
William

Early Risers, My Goodness Me!

I sure woke up early today. I opened my eyes and thought, “Wow, it feels like eleven o’clock.” Sure enough, I looked at my phone for the time and it was 11:00 on the dot. My wife was still sleeping soundly, and wouldn’t get up until after twelve.

Eleventh-hour early riser, that’s me. As I went about my morning routines, I gave myself over to reverie and turned it all into a kind of symbolic thing in my mind.

The eleventh-hour awakening is what’s going on now. You and me, up before the greater part of humanity, apparently, although the rising tide is quite intense by now. What to do, what to do?

One might:

check the weather,
take out the trash,
clean up yesterday’s mess,
take a shower,
walk the dogs,
make breakfast for one’s significant other,
read tea or coffee,
drink the newspaper,
take a whizz,
scratch one’s butt,
make plans for all the glorious and unglamorous things that one is obliged or inspired to do,
go wake someone else.

“Rise and shine, my love! You are so beautiful. Today is a good day.”

Take note: as in the everyday routine cycle, there is nothing ‘better’ about being awake as opposed to asleep. It doesn’t make one special or more needed. It is simply another state or condition we all go through.

What is it to be awake? We think of it, just as in the mundane sense, as meaning to abide in awareness of a more encompassing reality than the supposed dream awoken from. Certainly... perhaps. At least subjectively. But the dreamer may be dreaming something beautiful, ugly, safe, scary, transcendental, trite, exotic, familiar, important, irrelevant... anything. The point is, the dream is real to the dreamer. In your right mind, you wouldn’t invade their dream and tell them, you’re mistaken, none of this is real, you’re not really here. Of course they’re ‘here’ – for them, ‘here’ is their experience, and that is as real as it gets.

Of course, when you encounter a dreamer who desires to wake up from their dream, then what they need is to take their next step on that road, and sometimes you can help with that. Forget your need to prove the person wrong. No one needs that from you the way they might need, say, reassurance that they’re loved and OK and everything’s going to be fine. Affirmation of their inner goodness. They may simply need someone to share with, someone to support and congratulate them within their dream – not for someone to come along and invalidate their dream. That’s so very easily perceived as an invalidation of the person herself.

When you are dealing with egos, you are dealing with minefields of buried pain, where the slightest misstep can trigger an explosion. You’re much better off dealing directly with the person’s authentic self, by being your own authentic self. Vulnerable. Open. Honest. A brother or sister in the same human family. Don’t mind the ego. Know its ways, don’t play its games. You don’t have to engage it on its own terms. That’s called lowering your vibration to the lowest common denominator. That’s a losing proposition for everyone. See the goodness inside and resonate it. It may not come to the surface right away, but you’ll have engaged it. The reminding seed you’ve sown may germinate at any time.

How do you resonate a person’s inner goodness? By demonstrating your own toward them. The truth you hold so precious becomes a poisonous thorn, a bone of contention, a weapon of mass destruction when you use it as an object in your collection. Throw away your collection of truthy-truth beliefs. All you need is the living truth inside you. No words or concepts. Nothing to remember, nothing to carry with you. Just you. Just your love. Lighten the load you carry and others will find it easier to do the same.

Dream will always be with us. Whatever we experience, on any level, in whatever layer, in realm upon realm, there is only one thing we need to remember if there is to be happiness and freedom: Love is. Not these two words you just read; the living truth of it, which is inside you as your authentic being. Trust it like you would trust gravity. That’s called being grounded. There you go.

Whatever dreams may come, let us remember. If we forget, then that is only a chance to remember again. We will never come to harm, for the one who truly dreams as us dwells beyond all dreaming.

The Seeker Must Die

Be what you never thought you were or could be.

Be what you most feared to be.

Unreal.

Nothing.

As insubstantial as a thought:

For we are energy, which is thought born,

And no thought can be real.

For in the infinite reality beyond what we think of as reality, there is no separate object to perceive, about which to think.

Your Infinite I exists there.

Your Infinite I is one with infinite Love.

You are its creation.

Your life story and everything attached to it is its creation.

Creation is a work of art.

The cosmos is a love story.

The nightmare appears to be when we believe the voice of unreason, of impossibility.

It is impossible for Love not to be, for Love is all there is, the first cause of any existence.

Space and time are projections in the Mind.

Where we see separate objects and subjects, Love sees symbols and opportunities for its own demonstration.

The purpose of all is Love.

Loves knows itself perfectly and without pause.

All purposes and stories are known to it.

All stories are perfect demonstrations of Love.

Sometimes, for the purpose of the story, Love appears veiled. There appears to be a subjective experience of a lack of Love, a lack of light, or whatever.

Everything you really want, everything you really need, is a symbol of the only thing you ever need. It takes all those forms in order to demonstrate its nature within duality.

Love, as manifest in the virtual realm of Mind, wants to act. In order for it to act, there must the appearance of separation: the doer, the thing done unto, and the act performed in time and space. Abstractions all, dreamed up and imagined so that Mind can experience what that feels like.

The voice that speaks subconsciously, feeding you its unreal interpretations of the unreal dream that you seem to perceive, telling you that this world of separation is real, is insane.

The Course in Miracles calls this voice ego.

Ego cannot know truth, for ego itself is born of a lie: the belief in separation from Love.

Ego must die, for it was dead to begin with.

It is the voice of death itself.

But seen through the eyes of Love, even seeming death is another form of Love, dressed up for a joke played on ego for the amusement of limitless Mind.

Death is your best friend.

Death is your liberator.

Death is the door to infinity.

When ego dies, Love is revealed.

Love would never abandon us.

Love leaves bread-crumb trails for us to follow in the dark night of delusion.

Love leaves evidence of its nature scattered throughout the dream.

It is all Love. We need only perceive it as it is.

When we learn the language of Love through listening to its teacher-voice, the true meanings of all symbols are opened to us. We no longer need to misinterpret anything.

But we are addicted!

Hooked on drama!

The fear! Look at it, isn’t it scary? RAWRRAWRRAWR. Vampires and zombies and killer AIs. Evil corporations and Satanic elites. Bombs and guns and poisons, massacres and extinctions. Rapists, psychopaths, and unrepentant criminals. Death, danger, and destruction. Chaos and the cries of the damned. Innocence killed, the desecration of all that is holy. War and famine and pestilence. The looming end of the world. Not to mention all the petty annoyances and mundane headaches: in-laws, deadlines, taxes, the flu, and going to the dentist.

Mind has the power to convince its limited projections, these seemingly separate beings, of anything. Even the reality of fear and all attendant lies. It is so convincing, because that’s what makes the story so delightful from the viewpoint of Love.

The journey of awakening is a joy that Mind wants to experience again and again, in all different forms.

But once awakening has occurred, the false-light-and-dark ceases to be and all is revealed in the light of the Truth that always was.

We never lacked for anything. We ourselves, as the true infinite nature, are the missing birthright which we sought for so long. It was with us all along.

Let me tell you about a dream I had some years ago.

I was walking in the woods. The forest seemed dead, no green, no life. Just trunks and a carpet of needles as far as the eye could see.

I was looking for mushrooms. Juicy, tasty mushrooms. When I had found enough, I would make a hot soup and eat it with gusto.

But I found not a single mushroom, though I wandered for hours.

I didn’t want to give up. I knew somehow that the mushrooms were there, if only I could find them.

In my discouragement, I consoled my mind with substitute mushrooms: smooth, dark stones that I gathered into my basket. It was somehow soothing and reassuring to have at least some weight to carry, even if they weren’t the real thing. It was nice to pretend. It was like an act of faith, a symbol of what I knew deep inside. They had no value in themselves, but they stood as placeholders and reminders of what I sought.

After a time, I encountered two beings walking through the woods: the first living things I had seen all day. A pair of women, about sixty or seventy years old, dressed all in white, with an otherworldly glow about them. They were smiling and laughing, enjoying themselves without hurry or worry. A sense of profound peace, joy, and abundance radiated from their presence.

They greeted me like they knew me, like old friends. I courteously returned the greeting. They asked me what I was doing, and I told them I was looking for mushrooms. They spied my basket, and their eyes twinkled with laughter.

“You’ll get a good soup out of those, I bet,” said one. They winked at me mirthfully as though they shared the same mind.

I grinned, a little bit embarrassed. Silly, carrying rocks.

But their demeanor was compassionate and loving. They went their way with an encouraging nod, as if to say, “Keep going, don’t worry about how it looks. You’ll be fine.”

Quite soon after, I finally stopped. I laid down my basket of rocks and just kind of gave up. Like I was naturally ready to stop doing what I had been doing, to stop trying on a personal level. The fool’s errand lost its appeal and I simply was. No urgency, no judgment. The problem I had been struggling with was no longer a problem, it was simply a situation that was what it was. Not even really real. Like a dream.

Right then, like magic, the mushrooms I had been seeking were there in front of me. A big pile of fresh, ready-picked mushrooms, each bigger than the last, neatly stacked at the foot of a tree. More than I could even carry.

An overwhelming sense of gratitude and relief came upon me. Now I remembered! I had picked these for myself before time even existed. I smiled, chuckling gently. The game was over, and I could go home.

This powerful dream has stayed with me, and I will never forget it. The symbolism is obvious.

The seeker stopped seeking. The object of his search never was an object in the world. It was his already, and the imagined object “out there” was merely its symbol. When he lost his attachment to the outer form of the symbol, and to the idea of struggle and lack, he saw clearly.

Those women were in heaven, walking the seeming earth but not of it. They appeared to me as guides and allies. And yet they themselves were only dream figures, symbols.

When the dream’s purpose is complete and the dream body ceases to be, all there is is Mind, waking up and moving on to yet another dream.

We can be lucid. We can be free. We can let go of ourselves and let the Power move us.

We do not use the Force. The Force uses us. This is the secret of the ages, long hidden, now revealed.

Accept the truth, and lies will have no power. Only learn to listen to the still, small voice of truth and you will learn to recognize and reject the voice of the idiot.

“A tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.” This is life through the lens of ego. Why listen? Why believe? It sure would suck to be ego, and as long as we identify with its voice, then life surely does suck for us.

Embrace death. The seeker is a story with an end. It will end, and only then does the happy dream begin.

A new year, a new beginning. Time is over, and only the calendars and clocks tell us otherwise. We have all the time in the world, in no-time.

What is it for? Love only.

Let’s have a good time. Let’s have beauty and celebration. Let’s heal our ills and comfort one another. Let’s eat and drink and smoke and make love and do all the things we do without guilt or fear. Let’s serve Love, because that’s why we’re here. Let’s enjoy life and forgive all the bad. It only ever seemed like there was anything bad. Love reigns victorious.

Have an awesome new year.

Awakening ain't what it's cracked up to be (so let's all take a chill pill, huh?)

Dear reader,

I have said before that this blog is “not as advertised.” This is the truth, but not due to any intent to mislead on my part. When I said that, I was merely referring to the philosophical bugaboo that some of us humans like to dress up in civilized clothes and domesticate for our own uses: the fact that nothing is what it appears to be. It’s a nice conversation piece, a curiosity, sometimes a way to prove that we are in on a deeper level of understanding of how things are. We wink about it, or we glance at it suspiciously, but we don’t normally apprehend the true meaning of it. It’s another notion in the great marketplace of notions, all competing for our belief. I obviously don’t want to play that game here, and to the extent that it gets exposed to me, I will cease to participate in it.

I’m not sure who said it – maybe J. Krishnamurti, probably Anthony de Mello – but to paraphrase the quote: “Before you can wake up, you must accept the fact that you do not want to wake up.”

I don’t know how true that is, but not wanting to wake up is indeed our default setting. It’s our comfort zone. Which can go a long way toward explaining why awakening is so often triggered by pain and suffering and pointlessness. These push us beyond our comfort zone and get us asking the questions that drive our journey.

It’s become clear to me – quite suddenly – that there are, after all, two kinds of awakening: awakening within the dream, and awakening from the dream. In the former, there is an experience that we may quite appropriately label as an awakening event or process. Something that used to hold us back gets resolved; we reach a new plateau in spiritual development; we let go of old beliefs and adopt new ones; a realization that used to be theoretical begins to come alive in us; we encounter a revolutionary new perspective or teaching that expands our worldview in unprecedented ways; our senses are opened to a new level; we perceive whole realms we didn’t know existed; we feel more aware and empowered. We may even experience a more or less dramatic change in the quality of our experience of earthly life as a result. This kind of awakening is not to be confused with the other. They are of different types altogether and cannot be put in the same category.

The second type of awakening is the one we’re mostly all avoiding. It’s in our nature to avoid it, given that it means the end of absolutely all comfort zones, safety lines, and guarantees from the perspective of the self we think we are. The only guarantee I’ve heard about it is that once you start, there really is no going back. This blog has not been about this second type of awakening – no matter how much anyone would like to believe that it has been – and there is no way that I am going to pretend to be your trustworthy guide to it. Quite simply, that would be impossible and would only be a counterfeit belonging to the first category. It is a solitary journey; I cannot hold your hand or travel it with you, as nice as that would be. Besides, I’m not even awake myself.

This blog was never my creation in the first place. I cannot presume to know its purpose, nor can I presume to know the purpose of anything at all. Well, actually, I can, but that would be a comforting lie. Awakening from the dream, as opposed to awakening within it, is a purely destructive process. It is the real meaning of the burning phoenix. Nothing of who you believed you were remains after the fact. It all has to go. The reason is because the underlying assumption of your entire subjective identity, the deep unconscious belief upon which all other beliefs rest, is false. But you are not to blame. Your senses, after all, seem to tell you the complete opposite of the truth in every moment.

Didn’t it ever occur to you why you never really found the true and lasting peace, assurance, power, abundance, and joy you were seeking? Even after all the awakenings, all the seeking, all the work? It’s because the same dream you’ve been dreaming all along is still your reality. It’s set up that way so that your only option, sooner or later, is to wake up from it. But hey, there’s no need to panic. Everything happens in its own time. You are not going to be punished from on high for not being awake. In light of the truth, that would be a ridiculous notion. So breathe easy. Do whatever you would do in any case. Wrongness, fortunately, is an optical illusion. Or so I gather. (grin)

What I would recommend for someone who is interested in this second awakening is a small book called Butterflies Are Free to Fly. I must warn you, do take heed of the warning in its pages. There is a point of no return along the way. The author will let you know. His words are not idle in this respect. My experience has borne this out, so do proceed past that point, if you decide to, with utmost self-honesty.

Your awakening phase, when it does show up, will not arrive by accident. A premature awakening is impossible. There is nothing shameful or less-than in being a dream-dweller, none whatsoever. You are what you are, a perfect creator’s perfect creation, no matter what you think you’ve earned as far as credits or demerits, no matter your perceived progress or lack thereof.

My gratitude, kinship, and respect go out to you, first for being just what you are. The fact that you are reading this is great, but that comes a far distant second. The words I write are not my own. I have not manifested you, and you have not manifested me. We exist as dream characters with no substantial existence of our own at all. The one who does exist, our infinite source, exists behind us players in the story. It's got our back more than we'll ever know. So no worries. Really.

Thanks for coming by. I hope I didn’t scare you too much. (wink) I will be back.

Your brother,
William
